Self care is very important at this time.
• We suggest you keep yourself physically healthy.
• Follow a simple routine.
• Get enough sleep
• Eat meals at regular times, even if you don't feel like eating
• Eat fresh food as much as possible and avoid processed food.
• Go out for a walk everyday
• Do some outdoor activity every day.
• Exercise regularly • Try being with friends and family who are good listeners or can just be a sounding board.
• Make a to-do list every day and try to follow.
• Plan a simple activity each day
• Try to maintain your hobbies and interests
• Join a grief support group. Speak with others who are also grieving. It can help you feel more connected.
• Talk to a Grief counsellor or a professional therapist if you feel overwhelmed
• Grief can be very stressful, visit your doctor/ Psychiatrist.
• Try to do something socially
• Avoid making major decisions.
• DON’T TRY ALCOHOL or DRUGS they can lead to addiction, depression, anxiety, or even an emotional breakdown.
